Zakir Khan is one of India’s most celebrated stand-up comedians, writers, poets, and actors, renowned for his relatable storytelling and unique style of observational comedy. Born on August 20, 1987, in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India, he comes from a family with a rich background in Indian classical music. His father, Ismail Khan, is a music teacher, and his grandfather, Ustad Moinuddin Khan, was a respected classical musician.

Zakir Khan gained national recognition after winning Comedy Central’s India’s Best Stand-Up Comedian competition in 2012. He became a household name through his viral stand-up specials and the popular phrase “Sakht Launda,” which resonated with audiences across India. His comedy often draws inspiration from everyday experiences, relationships, friendships, and the struggles of young adults, making his performances highly relatable.

He completed his early education at St. Paul’s Higher Secondary School and pursued his higher education at Christian Eminent College.
